At Vanquish, business is in our DNA. Our founder and CEO, Jonny Staker, is an English entrepreneur having built, scaled, acquired, and sold businesses for the last 23 years.

In 2015, Jonny sold his first company to private equity after doubling its revenue during the 2008 financial crisis, growing it to over 50 staff and 2000 customers. After serving as the acquiring PE division's Managing Director at just 31, and realising that the rules and trappings of the corporate world weren’t for him, he left and launched an eCommerce company out of a former pig shed. The brand grew across 27 countries, eventually reaching an 8 figure exit valuation.

Over the next decade, Jonny founded, co-founded, acquired and exited several online companies in diverse sectors, including a successful GTM agency. Not all his ventures have been a resounding success, but he is a firm believer that our failures teach us just as much as (if not more than) our successes.

Now fluent in the language of finance, dealmaking, M&A, client acquisition, GTM and revenue acceleration, Jonny began working on a way to pull his experiences together. The goal was, as it still is, to reach, educate and empower other people to achieve transformative success. When the pandemic brought the world to a standstill in 2020, Jonny realised it was time to take action. He launched Vanquish, an executive consulting firm focussed on growth minded business leaders who are in a position to scale up and make an impact.

Jonny is based in North Yorkshire, England, with his wife and son.
